Harriott, James

b. August 6, 1809, in Bound Brook, New Jersey; d. August 2, 1869, in Pekin, Illinois. Harriott served one term as a representative from Jersey County, Illinois, in the state legislature in 1844 and 1845. He moved to Tazewell County in 1849. The voters of the Twenty-first Judicial Circuit elected him as judge in 1857 and reelected him in 1861.
